Directions to Branch: From Highway 200 turn south on Highway 84 for five miles. The library building is on the west side of Highway 84.
Brief History: The Margaret Welch Memorial Library was established in 1955. We joined the Kitchigami Regional Library in 1970. Longville is the smallest town in Minnesota to have a public library.

Birthday Book Club for Kids - at the Longville Library
All you need to do is: Be a kid!
With your parents, come to the Longville Library during the month of your birthday and apply for a library card, if you don't already have one. Small kids may check out items on their parent's card.
Check out a minimum of 3 books that day, sign the Birthday Club Register, and receive your plush birthday bear!

Snow Time to Read - 2014 Adult Winter Reading Program
Looking for a fun way to spend your cold & snowy days this winter? Then you may want to sign up for the Snow Time to Read Adult Winter Reading program at the Longville Library which takes place January through March, 2014.
It' simple & it's just for fun & there's no obligation to finish. Just take it as far as you like. Here's how it works:
1. Sign up at the Longville Library beginning January 1st, 2014
2. Receive a free pen*
3. Pick up your reading log to keep track of your reading
4. Read 15 books between January 1st & March 31st 2014
5. Return your reading log to the library and receive a free Snow Time to Read cozy coffee mug*
6. Those that complete their reading logs will be eligible to enter one of several drawings for Snow Time to Read sling pack bags or men's & women's sizes Snow Time to Read t shirts
7. Prize for 1st, 13th & 33rd person to turn in their reading sheet
8. New this year! Snow Money - (earn snow $ for library check outs & use them to "buy" items from the library snow store*)
