Location:
Directions to Branch: Highway 371 to Park Avenue two blocks to 2nd Street. Parking lot on side of building.
Brief History: The Pine River Public Library was established in 1965. The library joined the Kitchigami Regional Library System at its inception. We moved into our present location (the former Pine River State Bank Building) in July of 2002.
Story time hours:

Local Library Board Meetings:
Pine River Library Board meets 4 times a year in
January, April, July and November.
Pine River Library Foundation meets 4 times a year in January, April, July, and October.

Feb 17th, 2012 at the Warehouse, Author David Treuer will talk about his new book that comes out in February, Rez Life - An Indian's Journey Through Reservation Life @ 6:30 pm.
Feb 21st, 2012 at the Pine River/Backus Media Center, author William Kent Krueger will talk about his latest book Northwest Angle at 6:30pm.
Mar 3rd, 2012 at The Life Center on Barclay, mystery author Jess Lourey will talk on writing Minnesota mysteries @ 2pm.
Mar 24th, 2012 at the Warehouse, MN History Player, Virginia May Hope, air pilot during WWII. Flying planes with the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP) @ 2pm.
April 14, 2012 at the Warehouse, Cheryl Sawyer, storyteller/magician/balloon artist will do Finnish storytelling. She mixes her balloon making and magic in with her stories @ 2pm.
April 28th, 2012 at the Warehouse, photographer Cal Rice will talk about his trip to Bhutan with pictures @ 2pm.
May 12th, 2012 at The Warehouse, Catherine Friend is an adult and children's author. She will be giving her talk @ 2pm.
May 18th, 2012 at The Warehouse, The Okee Dokee Brothers will provide family entertainment @ 6:30. The Brothers have a mission to remind children - and adults- of their intrinsic ability to discover, imagine, and create through music.
Jun 9th, 2012 at The Warehouse, The Cafe' Accordion Orchestra will be playing an afternoon performance @ 2pm. Berets and Bongos describes the Café Accordion experience.
Jul 28th, 2012 at the Pine River/Backus School Commons, Pint Size Polkas @ 2pm.
