A Friends of the Library group is made up of community members to promote and encourage their local library. This is done through a number of activities that include: Fundraisers - like book sales; Advocacy - both on the local and state level; and Raising Community Awareness - by sponsoring special programming.

Bemidji Public Library - Directions to Library

Friends of the Bemidji Public Library operate the Red Door Bookstore in the Bemidji Public Library at 509 America Avenue, Bemidji. It is open to the public and staffed by Friends volunteers. Merchandise includes quality used books, sound recordings, and videos at prices from 10¢ to $6.00.

Saturday 10:30 - 3:00

To join the Friends, fill out an application, make your check payable to the Friends of the Library and mail to: PO Box 1151, Bemidji, MN 56619. Annual dues support library programs and help to purchase books for the library. Membership levels are:
Student/Senior - $5
Individual - $8
Family - $15
Business -$30
Supporting - $100
Lifetime - $300

The Friends Board meets monthly on the second Wednesday at 10am in the Red Door Bookstore and is open to visitors.

Friends:
Generally meets the first Monday of each month at 6pm.
In June & July, meets at 11am during the Brown Bag Lunch series.
Used book donations accepted and appreciated throughout the year and used for the Friends Biannual Book Sale.Events and various materials provided by the Friends are free and open to the public.Please consider a Friends membership - your donation will help bolster the library collection and professional programming.
